Presyo is Listahan’s crowdsourced grocery price index. Every receipt scan anonymously adds a price, so the community can see the typical cost of an item near them — and spot when something is above or below the norm.

That’s the question Presyo answers. As you build your shopping list, items can show the community’s typical price next to what you usually pay — so a fair price is obvious and an inflated one stands out. More scanners nearby means a sharper, more useful picture for everyone.

How Presyo works

No new chore. The prices come from receipts you already scan, aggregated so the whole community benefits.

Scan a receipt

You already scan receipts to stock your kitchen. Each scan quietly contributes the prices you paid — no extra step, no new chore.

Prices are anonymized

Before any price is recorded, it is stripped of personal details and decoupled from your household and your trip. A price becomes an orphaned number, not a record of you.

When enough households have reported an item, Presyo shows the typical price near you — so you can see at a glance whether a price is fair before you buy.

Contribute effortlessly

Scanning a receipt for your own inventory already seeds prices. The community layer simply aggregates what is already there — there is nothing new to do.

Anonymized aggregates, never individuals

Presyo stores no household identity against a price. Pins are unlinkable to a person or a basket, so no individual household is ever identifiable.

Honest when sparse

A figure is only shown once enough different households have reported it. Until then, Presyo tells you it is still gathering data rather than guessing.

Your country, your prices

Prices are scoped to your country and region. A shopper in the US never sees prices from another currency pooled in.

What is Presyo?
Presyo is Listahan's crowdsourced community grocery price index. It aggregates the prices households pay — anonymously, from receipt scans they already do — into a typical price for each item near you. The goal is simple: help you see whether a price is fair, and where you might save, before you shop.
How is my privacy protected?
Prices are anonymized the moment they're recorded: we store no household identity, and each price is separated from your basket and your trip, so it's just a number that can't be traced back to you. A price is only shown once enough different households have reported the same item, so no single household can be identified — and personal details on a receipt, like your card, loyalty number, or cashier, are never collected.
Do I have to do anything extra to contribute?
No. If you scan receipts to stock your kitchen, you are already contributing. Presyo aggregates the prices from scans you do anyway — there is no separate step and no new chore.
What does Presyo actually show me?
For items with enough community data near you, Presyo shows a typical price and how the price you paid compares to it — for example, whether you are above or below the community median. (Any specific numbers you see in our examples are illustrative, not measured results.) When data is still sparse for an item, it tells you so instead of showing an unreliable figure.
Is Presyo available everywhere?
Presyo is live from the start, but its usefulness for any given item grows as more households in your area report prices. Prices are scoped per country and region, and figures appear once a minimum number of households have contributed. In lower-density areas it may still be gathering data for some items.
Does Presyo cost extra?
No — reading the community price index is free for every Listahan household. Contributing happens automatically when households scan receipts (a Pro feature), and Pro also shows community prices in context — inside your meal plans, swaps, and Food Lens. See the pricing page for details.
