Iced Matcha Latte

A cooling, jewel-green iced latte with earthy matcha layered over cold milk for a smooth caffeine lift.

    Sift the matcha powder into a small bowl or wide cup to remove any clumps, which keeps the final drink silky rather than grainy.

    Add the hot water, which should be just below boiling at around 175 degrees F, then whisk briskly in a zigzag W-motion with a bamboo whisk or small handheld frother for 20 to 30 seconds until a fine, even foam forms on top.

    Stir the honey or simple syrup into the warm matcha until fully dissolved.

    Fill a tall glass with the ice and pour the milk over it, leaving room at the top.

    Slowly pour the whisked matcha over the milk to create a layered effect, then stir before drinking. Serve immediately.
