Instructions

  1. 1

Place the bacon in a skillet over medium heat and cook for 7-9 minutes until the fat renders and the bacon is crispy. Drain on paper towels.

  2. 2

Toast the 3 slices of bread to a light golden brown. Let them cool slightly on a wire rack to prevent steaming and becoming soggy.

  3. 3

Build the first layer: Spread 1 tbsp of mayonnaise on one side of the bottom piece of toast. Layer with the butter lettuce, sliced tomato, and half of the sliced turkey.

  4. 4

Build the second layer: Spread 1 tbsp of mayonnaise on both sides of the middle piece of toast and place it on top of the turkey. Add the remaining turkey and the crispy bacon strips.

  5. 5

Finish: Spread the remaining 1 tbsp of mayonnaise on one side of the top piece of toast and place it face-down.

  6. 6

Insert 4 frilled toothpicks halfway into the sandwich, forming a square pattern. Using a serrated knife, cut the sandwich diagonally into four triangular quarters. Serve immediately.
