Vanilla Iced Coffee

A smooth, lightly sweet iced coffee with a hint of vanilla, perfect for an afternoon pick-me-up.

    Brew a strong cup of coffee, using slightly more grounds than usual so the flavor stays bold after the ice melts. Let it cool to room temperature, or chill it in the refrigerator to speed things up.

    Fill a tall glass to the top with ice cubes.

    Pour the cooled coffee over the ice, leaving about an inch of room at the top.

    Add the milk or half-and-half, the vanilla simple syrup, and the vanilla extract.

    Stir well for 10 to 15 seconds until the drink is evenly combined and chilled, then taste and add more syrup if you like it sweeter. Serve immediately.
