Full English Breakfast

Instructions

    Start the sausages and bacon: Heat a large frying pan over medium heat. Add the sausages and cook for 15 minutes, turning often. After 5 minutes, add the bacon rashers and cook until the fat is rendered and crispy.

    Cook the mushrooms and tomatoes: In a separate pan (or alongside the meat if room permits), fry the mushrooms stem-side up and the halved tomatoes cut-side down in a little butter for 5-7 minutes until softened.

    Heat the beans: Pour the baked beans into a small saucepan. Heat gently over medium-low heat for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally until hot and bubbling.

    Fry the black pudding: Add the black pudding slices to the meat pan and fry for 2-3 minutes on each side until crisp on the outside.

    Prepare the fried bread: Remove the meat and keep warm. Add a knob of butter or use the rendered bacon fat to fry the thick white bread until golden and crisp on both sides.

    Fry the eggs: In the same pan, fry the eggs to your liking (sunny-side up is traditional) for 2-3 minutes until the whites are set but the yolks remain runny. Serve everything immediately on warm plates.
