Keto BLT Lettuce Wraps

The classic, crispy, savory flavors of a BLT sandwich securely wrapped in fresh, crunchy romaine leaves without the carbs.

Instructions

    Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until perfectly crisp (about 8-10 minutes). Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess fat.

    While the bacon cooks, carefully wash the Romaine lettuce leaves, ensuring they are completely dry (use a salad spinner or pat dry with paper towels) so the mayo adheres properly.

    Lay the lettuce leaves out flat on a clean cutting board or plate. Spread about 1/2 tablespoon of mayonnaise evenly down the center spine of each leaf.

    Layer 2 slices of tomato on top of the mayonnaise on each leaf, and lightly season the tomatoes with salt and black pepper.

    Place 2 slices of crispy bacon over the tomatoes. If using avocado, add a few slices on top of the bacon.

    To eat, either leave them open-faced like boats, or gently fold the sides of the lettuce leaf inward and wrap it tightly like a burrito. Serve immediately for maximum crunch.
