Classic BLT Sandwich

Crisp smoky bacon, cool juicy tomato, and crunchy lettuce layered between toasted bread slicked with creamy mayo.

Instructions

    Lay the bacon in a cold skillet, set over medium heat, and cook 8 to 10 minutes, flipping occasionally, until deeply browned and crisp. Drain on paper towels.

    Toast the bread slices until golden and crisp on the surface but still tender inside.

    Spread mayonnaise generously on one side of each toasted slice. Season the tomato slices with a pinch of salt and pepper.

    On two slices, layer lettuce, then tomato, then 4 pieces of bacon each, breaking the strips to fit. Season with another pinch of pepper.

    Top with the remaining bread slices, mayo-side down. Press gently, slice in half on the diagonal, and serve immediately while the bacon is still warm and crisp.
