Garlic Bread

A crusty baguette split and baked with garlic-herb butter until golden and fragrant.

Instructions

    Preheat: Heat the oven to 200°C (400°F).

    Make Garlic Butter: Mash the softened butter with the garlic, parsley, and a pinch of salt.

    Split: Slice the baguette lengthways (or into thick slices most of the way through).

    Spread: Spread the garlic butter over the cut surfaces and scatter with Parmesan cheese if using.

    Bake: Wrap in foil and bake 10 minutes, then open the foil for 3-5 minutes to crisp the top.

    Serve: Slice and serve warm alongside pasta or soup.
