Fish Sandwich

A crispy, battered white fish fillet served with tangy tartar sauce.

Instructions

    Set up a breading station with three shallow dishes: flour, beaten egg, and panko breadcrumbs. Season the fish fillet lightly with salt and pepper.

    Dredge the fish in the flour, dip it in the egg, and then coat it entirely in the panko breadcrumbs, pressing firmly so they adhere.

    Heat 1/4 inch of oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Carefully add the breaded fish.

    Fry the fish for 3-4 minutes per side until the panko crust is golden brown and the fish is flaky and opaque in the center. Remove and drain on paper towels.

    Toast the soft potato bun lightly. Slather the tangy tartar sauce generously on the bottom and top halves of the bun.

    Place the crisp iceberg lettuce on the bottom bun. Top with the hot, crispy fish fillet, cap with the top bun, and serve immediately with a lemon wedge.
