Instructions

  1. 1

Fill a cocktail shaker about two-thirds full with ice cubes to ensure rapid chilling as you combine the spirits and juices.

  2. 2

Pour in the 2 oz light rum, 2 oz dark rum, 2 oz passion fruit juice, 1 oz orange juice, 1/2 oz lime juice, 1 tbsp grenadine, and 1 tbsp simple syrup.

  3. 3

Cap the shaker tightly and shake vigorously for 15 to 20 seconds until the outside frosts and everything is thoroughly blended.

  4. 4

Fill a tall hurricane glass (or a tall Collins glass) with fresh ice, then strain the cocktail over the top so it fills nearly to the rim.

  5. 5

Garnish with an orange slice and a maraschino cherry on a pick, add a straw, and serve immediately while ice-cold.
