Blond Brownies in a Jar

A layered jar of butterscotch blondie mix that bakes up into chewy coconut-pecan brownies.

    In a small bowl, mix together the flour, salt, and baking powder; set aside.

    Layer the ingredients in order into a 1-quart wide-mouth canning jar: coconut, pecans, brown sugar, then the flour mixture last, pressing each layer firmly in place.

    When ready to bake, empty the jar of mix into a large bowl and use your hands to thoroughly blend it together.

    Add the softened butter, beaten eggs, and vanilla. Mix until completely blended into a thick batter.

    Spread the batter into a greased 13x9-inch metal baking pan.

    Bake at 375°F (190°C) for about 25 minutes, until set and golden. Cool 15 minutes in the pan, then cut into 1 1/2-inch squares and cool completely.
