Chocolate Chip Cookies

    Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line two large baking sheets with parchment paper.

    In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, white sugar, and brown sugar using a hand mixer on medium speed for 2 minutes until light and fluffy.

    Beat in the eggs one at a time, ensuring each is fully incorporated, then stir in the vanilla extract.

    In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually blend this dry mixture into the wet ingredients until just combined (do not overmix).

    Gently fold in the chocolate chips using a spatula. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them 2 inches apart.

    Bake for 9-11 minutes until the edges are nicely golden brown but the centers are still soft and slightly gooey. Let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
