Baked Beans on Toast

Instructions

    Pour the baked beans along with their sauce into a small saucepan.

    Place the saucepan over medium-low heat. Cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the beans are piping hot and the sauce has thickened slightly.

    While the beans are heating, toast the thick slices of bread to a deep golden brown.

    Generously spread the butter evenly over the hot toast right as it comes out of the toaster.

    Place the buttered toast on a warm plate and immediately ladle the hot beans over the top.

    Finish with a sprinkle of black pepper and enjoy immediately with a fork and knife.
