Canned Chili Dogs

Instructions

    Pour the canned chili into a small saucepan and heat over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally until it is bubbling and completely heated through.

    While the chili heats, bring a separate medium pot of water to a gentle boil.

    Add the hot dogs to the boiling water and cook for 5-6 minutes until plump and fully heated. (Alternatively, grill or pan-fry them).

    Carefully remove the hot dogs with tongs and place one into each hot dog bun.

    Generously ladle the hot chili directly over each hot dog.

    Top immediately with a sprinkle of shredded cheddar cheese so it melts, and garnish with diced white onions before serving.
