Low-Fat Strawberry Butter

Instructions

    Combine the strawberries, apple cider, honey, vanilla, and cinnamon in a medium saucepan.

    Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, then reduce to a simmer and cook until the berries are very soft, about 8 to 10 minutes. Drain, reserving the juices.

    Transfer the cooked berries to a food processor or blender and puree until completely smooth.

    Pass the puree through a fine strainer for a silky texture.

    If the spread is too thick, stir in a few drops of the reserved juices to reach the desired consistency. Chill before serving.
