Maple Salmon

Salmon fillets marinated in maple syrup and soy, then broiled until glazed and caramelized.

Instructions

    In a shallow dish, stir together the maple syrup and soy sauce. Add the salmon fillets, turning to coat, then cover and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.

    Remove the salmon from the marinade. Pour the marinade into a small saucepan and reduce over medium-low heat until it is thickened to about half its original volume, about 10 minutes.

    Place the fillets skin-side up in a lightly oiled broiler pan and broil 4 to 6 inches from the heat for about 4 minutes.

    Flip the fillets over and brush the flesh side liberally with the reduced marinade. Sprinkle the sesame seeds over the top.

    Broil for another 4 minutes, or until the surface is caramelized and the salmon is no longer translucent in the center. Serve with wilted spinach and roasted potatoes.
