Instructions

  1. 1

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and lightly grease a baking sheet. Bring a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil.

  2. 2

In a large bowl, gently mix the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, beaten egg, and a pinch of salt and Italian seasoning. Do not overmix to prevent tough meatballs.

  3. 3

Roll the mixture into 1.5-inch meatballs (yields about 12-14) and space them evenly on the baking sheet.

  4. 4

Bake the meatballs for 18-20 minutes, or until fully cooked and an instant-read thermometer registers 165°F (74°C) in the center.

  5. 5

While the meatballs bake, cook the whole wheat pasta in the boiling water according to package directions (al dente). Drain and return to the pot.

  6. 6

Gently warm the marinara sauce in a saucepan over medium-low heat. Combine the pasta, baked meatballs, and marinara, then portion into 4 meal prep containers.
