Mozzarella Sticks

Instructions

    Bread: Coat each cheese stick in flour, dip in egg, then roll in the breadcrumbs mixed with Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning.

    Double Coat: Dip in egg and breadcrumbs a second time for a thick, leak-proof crust.

    Freeze: Freeze the breaded sticks for at least 30 minutes (this stops the cheese leaking out).

    Heat Oil: Heat oil to 180°C (360°F).

    Fry: Fry the frozen sticks for 1-2 minutes until golden — don't overcook or the cheese escapes.

    Serve: Drain briefly and serve immediately with warm marinara for dipping.
