Baked Fish with Lemon & Black Pepper

Tender white fish fillets marinated in warm spices and baked, then finished with bright lemon.

    Place the fish fillets in a medium bowl and sprinkle with the salt, turmeric, cumin, black pepper, and garlic, tossing gently to coat well.

    Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for 50-60 minutes.

    Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Coat the bottom of an 8x8-inch baking dish with the vegetable oil.

    Arrange the fish in a single layer in the dish and pour any remaining marinade over the top.

    Bake uncovered for 20-25 minutes, until the fish is firm to the touch and flakes easily with a fork.
